Accessibility
ACC Liverpool is fully accessible for all customers, with easily accessible drop-off points, accessible toilets, lifts and entrances in all areas.
Visitors driving to ACC Liverpool will find accessible parking available in the adjacent ACC car park, although it is not free for Blue Badge holders. A number of spaces are available for ease of use and visitors may also be dropped off at the drop off point on the river side of the building. Lifts in the car park feature a mirror to aid reversing out of the lift and have both visual and audible floor indicators. The route from the car park to the entrance is accessible to for wheelchair users, although assistance may be needed as the route does include some ramps.
Induction loops
Once inside the building, both the reception desk and box office feature a fixed loop hearing system, as do the refreshment and merchandising counters, which are situated at low levels.
Seating
There are 12 designated spaces for wheelchair users in the auditorium at the BT Convention Centre; if speakers include wheelchair users they can access the stage directly from a level entry point. In the Echo Arena we have 68 dedicated bays for disabled customers with an excellent view of the stage, with seating for carers and disabled patrons – there are no steps to climb to get to these bays. Floor seating is at a lower level however and will require the use of steps.
An induction loop is available in specific seating areas and a seating area within the disabled bay for blind patrons who need to bring a guide dog.
Cafe
Our Heathcotes cafe is fully accessible for all of our guests; table service is available in the restaurant and there is ample room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre. No tables or chairs are permanently fixed and none of the chairs have armrests. Our menus are clearly written and presented in contrasting colours and food is prepared to order for clients, so we can cater for your specific dietary requirements.Disabled toilets
There are eight accesible toilets within the BT Convention Centre and a further seven in the Echo Arena; toilets are available on every floor of the building.
Motorised scooters are allowed in public parts of the venue – visitors can charge scooters or wheelchairs at the venue and guide dogs are welcome at ACC Liverpool. The availability of BSL signers varies according to bookings at the BT Convention Centre, but is not available in the Echo Arena.
